- Yabuki-Sensei will be coming to host the All-USA Mental Calculation Contest (no abacus) at the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Milpitas on March 31st. This year we have over 50 students who have registered!
- Due to Spring Break, there will be no class from April 14th through April 20th. Class will resume on April 21st.
- The All American Correspondence Abacus Contest will be held on May 5th.
- There will be 7 college bound seniors this year. I plan to hold the Graduation Party on May 27th.
- The Level Test will be held on June 9th. Registration details will be provided at a later date.
- As usual, I will be hosting the annual Abacus Mental Math Summer Camp in June. Camp will begin on June 10th and have sessions running through August 2nd. Each session will be one week.
- This year, the All-USA Abacus Calculation Contest with Yabuki-Sensei will be in Banff, Canada. It will be on August 8th-9th. Please see below for some details:
- We have planned a group tour of Vancouver and Banff to accompany the Contest. The duration of the tour will be August 5th through August 12th.
- The cost of the tour per person includes the bus, hotels, tickets and any tips. In addition, most meals (including breakfast) are also included in this price.
- For Double Occupancies: $1,590.00 | Triple: $1,375.00 | Quad: $1,375.00 |
- You will need to purchase your own airfare to Seattle on August 5th (arrive in Seattle before noon) and on August 12th (book flights departing after 3 PM) There’ll be a bus to Vancouver upon arrival and to Sea-Tac for return.

The travel agency has apologized for the tight timeline, but because early August is considered “high season,” we will need an accurate headcount to secure these rates.
